2.2 Why is my account blocked?

There are different reasons why your account may have been blocked:

1. You have not been verified as a professional car trader or dealer. If you are a continental European customer, you’ll need to supply a copy of your ID and proof that you are a car trader or dealer.

2. The VAT number of your company appears to be invalid

3. Customer service has revoked your right to use your account for reasons such as pending final delivery documents, unwanted behaviour, cancelled cars, unprofessional communication or conduct, etc.

4. Your payment is late. The payment process varies by location.

5. For customers from Belarus, Ukraine or Russia, bidding on and purchasing cars from OPENLANE will not be possible until further notice. We can no longer guarantee a smooth service to these countries.

Continental European customers: If you are more than four days late submitting the payment for your vehicle, you will receive a friendly automatic reminder. If the payment is not received in full within six days, the system will automatically disallow you from bidding in other auctions until the payment has been confirmed by our bank. Your account will then be reinstated.

UK customers: You must pay for your vehicle within one working day of receiving the invoice. We will send you a reminder after five days. If you fail to pay after this reminder, your account access may be revoked.
